NETFLIX:
A FUTILE AND STUPID GESTURE
I worked with the great team at Mustache to design and animate the teaser for the Netflix feature film: A Futile and Stupid Gesture.
The film tells the story of Doug Kenney, the man who founded National Lampoon Magazine and forever changed the world of comedy. The teaser highlights some of the innumerable shows, entertainers, and films that only exist because of Doug.
DESIGNS:
Below you’ll see a selection of designs I produced for the trailer. I loved working in this collage style, but there was a challenge, we couldn’t secure rights to all the various properties we wanted to call out, so a big part of the work was concepting iconography we could use to represent the various projects that we connected to Doug Kenney.
