FOOD NETWORK:
HALLOWEEN COOKIE CHALLENGE

I created a graphics package for Food Network's Halloween Cookie Challenge. Working with the great team at Creative Mammals, I designed, modelled, and animated this quick, playful intro, along with a full package of lower 3rds, bumpers, transitions, backplates, and mortises.

This project was the perfect intersection of my interests in charming baking television, and gore-heavy horror films.

THE COOKIES:

I began with work on the intro by illustrating some playful Halloween cookies, then modeling them in Cinema4D. These cookies would be the main characters of the animation, and would be repurposed for other assets in the graphics package.

TRANSITIONS:

I created several transitions for editors to use in the show, each based on one of the cookies from the intro.

I created bumpers based on the intro title lockup that take us into and out of the show.

MORTISES & BACKPLATES:

Two mortises and two backplates frame content within the show deliciously.

LOWER 3RDS:

I designed lower 3rds to have our 3D cookie backing, and to animate on with a bite.

Side bars provide space for detailing the challenges the bakers would face, or listing ingredients for their spooky recipes.

THE RESULTS:

THE GFX PACKAGE SERVED THE SHOW WELL, AND HAS BEEN USED OVER 2 SEASONS
