TBS:
MIRACLE WORKERS
I was asked by the great folks over at Creative Mammals to animate this series of promotions for Miracle Workers on TBS. In each video, Daniel Radcliffe educates us on the stranger practices of the Dark Ages. I used After Effects, along with some cel animation, to animate drawings by MC Wolfman.
I was provided with illustrations for each scene by the talented MC Wolfman. Some elements of the characters were broken up onto individual layers, but ultimately a lot of the process involved my creating additional hand drawn elements to use for cel animation. The challenge was matching Wolfman’s unique style seamlessly.
Through conversations with him about his brushes of choice, and some careful study of his work, I was able to design what I needed to get everything moving. That combined with some tasteful After Effects motion brought the drawings to life.
